Synthetic rubber has a history of hundreds of years, and people have come up with many wonderful uses based on this elastic material. These wonderful uses have led to the birth of a large number of large companies, and the products they have launched have greatly enriched people's lives.

100 years ago, the motivation for German chemist Friz Hofmann to study synthetic rubber may have come from a reward order from Friedrich Bayer Dye Factory, the predecessor of Bayer Company in Germany: The company proposed in 1906 that if someone could The company will reward the inventor who successfully "develops a method for manufacturing rubber or rubber substitutes" before November 1, 1909, with 20,000 marks. This was the idea of Karl Duisburg, then president of Bayer. At that time, with the help of the inventions of Scottish veterinarian John Bird Dunlop and the French Michelin brothers, people had already installed tires on bicycles, stagecoaches and the newly born automobiles.

Hofmann caught up with this era, although the synthetic rubber he developed stopped production in 1913 because it was expensive and decomposed quickly in the air. However, he witnessed a series of major technological breakthroughs in synthetic rubber during his lifetime - sodium butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile butadiene rubber, etc., which laid the foundation for the invention of today's high-performance rubber. Synthetic rubber opens a door. This is how mankind began the history of synthetic rubber.

Since Hoffmann of Bayer synthesized rubber in 1909, synthetic rubber has experienced many technological advances in the past 100 years. Countless scientists and engineers have devoted themselves to it, and many large companies have emerged as a result. Among them are chemical companies that supply basic raw materials for synthetic rubber, and companies that use rubber as raw materials to produce various daily necessities and industrial supplies. They have made synthetic rubber increasingly indispensable in human life.

In 1929, Farben obtained a patent for sodium butadiene rubber. Soon, German chemist Walter Bock and his mentor Eduard Tschunkur added another important substance, styrene, to improve the sodium butadiene rubber formula to prepare "styrene butadiene rubber". ”, which laid the foundation for the economic breakthrough of synthetic rubber, which was the first synthetic rubber to be produced industrially on a large scale and was soon used in the production of automobile tire treads.

Today, 65% of the world's rubber is used in the automotive industry - tires, airbags, sealed tubes, etc., the most important of which are tires.

Starting from the butyl rubber first developed by Hoffmann, the continuous progress of synthetic rubber technology has basically been in line with people's requirements for higher performance of tires: better wear resistance, higher pressure resistance, stronger Grip, etc.

People take it for granted that they use synthetic rubber to make tires: styrene rubber that gives tires more grip on slippery surfaces, neodymium rubber that reduces fuel consumption, such as butadiene rubber, and nanotechnology production Nanoprene rubber additives. These synthetic rubbers have made possible advances in tire durability, tire safety and energy efficiency.

Now that researchers can develop high-performance tires that allow cars to exceed 300 kilometers per hour, a new challenge for them is environmental protection. They should continue to reduce rolling resistance, reduce tire weight, and develop less noisy tread patterns.

Among Shenzhen Zhongling Technology's robot hub servo motor series products, the small-power hub motor uses solid rubber tires, the heavy-duty high-power hub motor uses polyurethane tires, and the 13-inch to 16-inch high-power hub motor uses inflatable rubber Tires can also be customized with different sizes, materials, hardness, patterns, etc. according to customer project requirements.
